FIXED PRICE PAYMENT

Fixed price payments is at the core of ForumPay's product offerings. This is the traditional payment model where a consumer is paying a fixed amount to the merchant. Like other payment methods, fixed price payments guarantees the merchant settlement of the full amount they initiate the payment for. ForumPay removes and risk or crypto price volatility, allowing merchants to accept crypto payments with confidence.

Payment Flow

  1. Merchant initiates payment for a fixed fiat amount
  2. Consumer is presented a QR code containing the amount and address
  3. Consumer scans code and sends the amount of crypto needed
  4. ForumPay confirms payment
  5. Merchant fulfills product/service paid for
  6. Full amount set in step 1 is settled directly to merchant's bank account

This model is ideal for merchants selling a product or service where an exact amount is needed to complete the transaction. For all intents and purposes this works just like a credit card payment, however the consumer is using crypto instead of their card.

DYNAMIC PRICING PAYMENTS

Dynamic pricing allows a merchant to simply provide a crypto address to their consumer. The consumer can then send any amount of crypto to that address they wish. Upon receipt, ForumPay converts the crypto to fiat, at the market value at the point it is received, and settles that amount to the merchant.

Dynamic pricing provides much more flexibility and eliminates the possibility of any payment errors (consumer sends too much or too little crypto). This model is ideal for any merchant who offers funding (i.e. Casino, FX, Wallets, Tokens, etc.)

Payment Flow

  1. Merchant initiates a payment for dynamic pricing
  2. Consumer is presented a QR code containing an address only
  3. Consumer sends any amount of crypto to the address
  4. ForumPay confirms the payment and notifies merchant of the fiat value
  5. Merchant fulfills product/service paid for
  6. Full amount set in step 4 is settled directly to merchant's bank account
